Not just because he had to kill his own family and be labelled as a betrayer and have his only remaining relative hate him.
It's that said relative is just completely missing the point. You'd think after being forced to kill his family and betray the village he's loyal to and make the only family he loves too much to kill hate him, fate would give him a break. Nope.
