Star Driver is the only one of my taste test that will have its own post. Because it's so swpecial. No really, I was surprised by how much I actually liked it. Including all the obligatory making fun of shounen show stereotypes ;D

Spiky haired energetic young protagonist found abandoned on the beach saved by a beautiful woman preforming incorrect CPR. What, does he carry a big sword, have amnesia or is the child of destiny or something?I had high hopes for blue haired-san as the cold emotionless pretty boy of the show. He seems more like the enigmatic lazy genius. Who apparently has a nekomimi meido. (Welding twin hand guns?)

But seriously, what a upgrade over Shinrei Yakumo's animation..so clean and smooth. AS EXPECTED OF BONES.

Crazy colored hair -clear sign of important character! His spiked kuriboh hair indicates his headstrong and upbeat character.Nothing can get him down and he will fight for his friends and what he believes in. TITLE DROP! Aqua Timez ^^Y Running squence indicates his inexhaustable energy even in the face of what should be curb stomp battles. Pliers? You should be kicking down that door with your powerful engrish!!!

There are a lot of people wearing masks and identical uniforms...this is usually indicative of a bad organization. HOLY CRAP AN AQUARIUM. THIS GUY HAS TO BE EVIL. He either seems like a card carrying big biss working for a twisted utopia, or a tortured soft soul that's living the only way he knows how. Both versions are completely insane by the way. But the boxing san seems to be a big brother senpai kind, plus he used the title drop. If he's a star driver, it's probably because they're good.

One of the chosen? He'll be a chosen alright. THERE SEE. I bet he'd be way better at it than all of you, the chosen one. Loving the ridiculous name actually. And the sentai/genderbent sailor moon transformation, complete with improbable highlights. His mecha has a plume and its doing pirouttes around that guy while wearing stripes of metal that look like a ballet skirt! FUCK YES, now THIS,ladies and gentlemen, is a (shounen) protagonist. Badass longcoattttt. Love interest looks into young protagonist's eyes under the starry eyes.

Oddly, in contrast with shows that make these cliched and weird protagonists, I don't mind this one because how extravagent they made it is like saying "yeah we're ridiculous and we know it! ;D" In short, Star Driver seems to be very !!! Like, !!! The Arrival of the Galatic Pretty Boy~~~~!!! Kind of way. Will keep watching, animation by BONES a further incentive.
